FARTING ABOUT ART

There is plenty of artists in this world heard & seen today, but is their art serving a purpose?

Talking about WHAT IS ART is about as useless as finishing that thought right now. I wanna talk about HOW ART MAKES ME FEEL and WHY IS IT HERE?

For every thought, consider the opposite thought to be true as well. It's like how in math there is no subtraction- only addition of negatives, ya get me? philosophy of art 101 taught by kathleen marie.

Today we have an incredibly overwhelming amount of images ready to see at hand and it's a problem because how do we know its serving a purpose? ART I LOVE TODAY makes my eyes bleed it's so freaking intensely visual. All senses aside, this one is my favorite for experiencing art in the present. When I look around at these things, I know a lot of work was put into getting me to see this, and I have to think about. I have to consider the artists process, the intention, art school critique shit. Will these elements influence my own craft, style, or choices?

We need to question the nothing and make it something, put that skill of over analyzing and documentation to better purpose. It's easy to pass off Dada and Fluxus art as something as useful as it isn't.

Real is a feeling. I saw it on the PicturePlane album the other day and it made me think, it made me want to respond. What else is there to feel? Randomness and chaos to let go of all this deep shit? Kitschy and ironic humor to deny truths? There is an endless flow of time to make of these subjects, to appreciate the collective consciousness, and making lists in pairs or threes.

At one point in my life I was writing long essays but now I'm forced to write short & concisely which feels awkward cause my foot is jammed in my mouth. So here's to new beginnings and self directed projects!
